Message for the month February 2008

Last month we looked at how we can handle difficult situations by asking God for the wisdom we need. Another thing we need to do, indeed should be doing all the time, is to ask ourselves "What would Jesus do in this situation?" The apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 11 v 1 says

"Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ."

By getting to know Him on a deeper, more intimate level, and also by learning about Him through reading and studying His Word we will know the right things to do both in everyday situations and at the more difficult times when mere human wisdom would not be enough. And where clashing worldly values, regarding such things as sexuality, family values and plain moral integrity, which are becoming evermore ungodly, might otherwise lead us awry.

"We have the mind of Christ" we are told in 1 Corinthians 2 v 16. Let us therefore keep our minds sharply honed and in constant use.
