Message for the month December 2007

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

"Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" (Luke 2 v 13,14 )

The words of the angels when the birth of Jesus was announced to the shepherds is a wonderful statement on the true meaning of Christmas. Rather than focusing our attention on Christmas trees, parties, turkey and the like, though there's nothing wrong with any of these things, why not bring some joy to God's heart by praising Him and thanking Him for what he's done for us, and bringing some peace and goodwill into the lives of others. Pay a visit to someone who is lonely, give to someone who is in need and mend a broken relationship with a family member or friend.
